About
KRPlamo
Hello, my name is Kristina, and I go by KRPlamo online. I am so happy that you took the time to stop in to view my site.
As you explore, you’ll notice that my art is deeply inspired by nature and the beautiful beings we share this planet with. My mission is to serve the animals and be a voice for them, hoping to inspire others to do the same and create a brighter, kinder world for all living beings.
In the photo above, that’s me in the back, wearing the red sweater. I’ve always loved those forests.
I grew up in a small community in British Columbia, near the majestic Mount Robson. With hundreds of acres as my backyard playground, I had a unique opportunity to connect deeply with nature. This freedom fostered my childhood creativity, curiosity, and profound love for animals, laying the foundation for who I am today, and who I will be tomorrow. I do believe that every child is born vegan and society trains it out of us. I’m so glad I found my way back.
No bunnies were harmed in the making of this photo. I had many animals around the acreage where I lived. This cute little guy was my beloved friend, "Thumper."
Coming from a family of artists and engineer-minded thinkers, I was encouraged to see the world through a lens of reinvention and possibility. However, translating the vivid images in my mind into art was a challenge I grappled with for years. Over time, I am realizing that creating art isn’t about perfection; it’s about the joy and emotion of the process. That understanding is shaping my approach, emphasizing feeling over precision.
That is me on the far right.
As I grew, my rebellious streak gave rise to an outspoken nature—something I now channel into advocating for animals. My art merges my two deepest personal passions: creating and speaking up for those who can’t speak for themselves. Through my paintings, I aim to share the stories of animals—their loss, tragedy, and hope—while encouraging others to reflect on their choices and the impacts they have.
I also strive to bring comfort and inspiration to fellow animal advocates by honoring the freedom and beauty of animals who have escaped enslavement or were fortunate enough never to face it. These pieces are a testament to their resilience and a reminder of what we are fighting for: a world where every animal can live free, safe, and loved. Together, we can turn this vision into reality.
My goal is to open the eyes of those who may not yet see the pain and suffering caused by non-vegan products, as I once didn’t. I hope my art sparks meaningful conversations, plants seeds of awareness, and brings joy to those who are already part of the fight for animal liberation. Whether a guest asks about the art on your wall or silently reflects on its message, it’s an opportunity for change.
As a vegan artist, I take great care to ensure that the materials I use align with my values. I source products that are free from animal testing and ingredients and strive to avoid supporting exploitation in any form. Though challenges arise, I remain committed to living and creating in a way that honors animals and the planet.
Thank you for stopping by and sharing in my journey. If you have any questions or would like to connect, please feel free to reach out—I’d love to hear from you!
